Laura is originally from Mobile, Alabama. Being the daughter of a jazz trumpeter she often jokes "I learned to read music before learning to read English". Musical training has always been a deep part of her life. She began professionally performing music at the age of 12 with her father's band and has been an entertainer since. She plays Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Flute, Saxophone and Sings. She studied music at the Cleveland Institute of Music (a music Conservatory in Cleveland, OH) and the University of North Texas.
